How do I come off Cipralex?

Hi All,

I have been on Cipralex for nearly 2 years now after having horrendous panic attacks (something that runs in the family!)

My partner and I want to start a family during the early part of next year however I have read numerous articles stating that taking cipralex during pregnancy is harmful for the growing baby which I do not want.

I am currently on 10mg and have been for the duration - what is the best way to come off to minimise nasty side effects?

I had to come off cipralex when I got pregnant, I came off slowly and it was fine. I would talk to your doctor for the best way for you. I found my anxiety wasn't too bad when I was pregnant. I felt I needed to go back on them when my son was 12 weeks old and I had to fly to America. I gave up breast feeding when I went back on them. My son is now 2 1/2 and I am off them again with only the occasional wobble!!
