sore throat, hoarse voice - help

hi

for the past few days i've had a scratchy throat and my voice keeps going funny. Couple that with my usual lump in throat feeling (as though i cant swallow altho i can!) and some new chest pain and i am in full blown panic mode about throat and lung cancer. no trouble breathing tho. anyone else had this? just a cold?

I have had the exact same thing for about a week
been to the docs and is only a virus

Me to i have had this for about 3 weeks now, its driving me mad seen the doctor about 4 times, and the lump thing driving me mad.
So hang in there and try not to worry (EASY TO SAY HARD TO DO)

Yeh I had it a couple of months ago, posted on here, it went after about a week, then came back a couple of weeks ago, exact same thing. I didn't have anything else with it, no cold, just the sore throat & sometimes when I spoke my voice would go & i'd have to clear my throat. My mum had the same thing & she's never smoked, so I knew it wasn't because of too many fags!. So I put it down to a virus. After a week it went away again.
Hopefully it will stay away this time!
