Mirtazapine didnt work

Hi i took 15mg of Mirtazapine last night and it didnt make me sleepy at all was still fully awake at three hours later, anyone else find this have had no side effects from the first tablet at all. Why would it not make me sleep like others on here?

Well that's surprising because it knocks most people out - esp the lower doses. Perhaps you won't gain weight on it either, which is good news.

People react differently to these drugs. If you're taking it for sleep then go back to your doctor for something else if it doesn't help - but give it a few more days first.

I was prescribed mirtazapine and for the first 4 days didnt sleep at all and had hallucination caused by the side effects and sleep deprivation but after about a week or so I slept as soon as my head hit the pillow and feel really in control of my anxiety and have a better quality of life. I have gained some weight although have started a gym and received advice about nutrition.

So give them a chance and hopefully you will be snoozing soudly soon.
