Hi, my name is Graham. I suppose I've always been the anxious type but this has really come to the surface a couple of months ago when I had surgery while also being unemployed. Since then I have been back to the doctor with a myriad of complaints (don't want to list them all here, yet), and have had to conclude that all of those complaints are anxiety-related in one way or another. Of course, telling myself this don't always make them go away or stop me worrying about them for long. Anyway, I found a thread on this site helpful during one of those episodes, so now I've decided to join the forum myself. That's my introduction. :emot-wave:

:welcome:Graham. Glad that you have found us.There is a brilliant book by Dr Claire Weekes;SELF HELP FOR YOUR NERVES ISBN 0-7225-3155-9.This is available from the NMP shop. Dr Weekes was a physician and scientist. She was a fellow sufferer (nominated for the nobel prize for medicine) and really understood this illness. She took the mystery out of it, and devised a simple programme for recovery. I can't recommend this enough. This will get better.

Here is a link to her site;
