I'm a long term sufferer of panic attacks they began when was 17 and I'm still suffering 10 years later. Over the years I have experienced many different symptoms of panic from not being able to drive on my own to not wanting to leave the house. But since having my daughter 7mths ago I have been suffering with what I think maybe health aniexty (after reading info on thesite). I have become obbessed with self diagnosing myself with termianal illness like cancer or anything a google search may bring up when I enter my symptoms. i must admit I am finding this more difficult to cope with than the panic attacks I used to suffer with. I obbess about the illness and spend the majority of my waking time thinking about it. I then convince myself that I am going to die and leave my babbies without a mum. I have been to the doctor and they reffered me for a physchractric assessment. I was told that I do not have anything wrong with me other than a addictive personatlity. I felt really defeated by this and was hoping for more answers or help.

I was really glad to come accross the site it has made feel like I'm not alone.

Claire

A warm welcome aboard.

If you want to share any of the specific issues you have we will try and explain alternate reasons for them other than cancer etc.

Most anxiety symptoms can be easily explained without you immediately thinking that you are going to die.

Hope you can get some support on here and some help for your worries.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.
