oh help
its that time of the month when my anxiety levels sore (if thats possible) even higher than normal and any rational thoughts i might still be capable off disappear. For the last couple of days i have been having on and off a slight tic or twitch in my left eye, its not painful and i can only feel it,nothing to see when looking in mirror and i have convinced myself (dont ask why) that i have MS, i just had my routine eye exam last week and my eyes were pronounced healthy, only a slight script change and a dose of eyestrain as i hadnt been wearling them when i should. could it be anxiety?? does anyone else suffer from this.
i have muscle aches all over my body ona daily basis as i keep my muscles tense the whole time, sorry to bother you but would appreciate some feedback

I did the whole MS thing too once....my GP actually thought it was that for a while too.

do you do any relaxation? esp tensing and releasing muscles? this could help you.

the eye thing has happened to me too and could be anxiety...i have had mouth twitches once from it when i talked to someone who i liked.

it's all weird isn't it, but is likely to be anxiety and nothing else!

Hi Nell,

I have had the eye twitch and also in other parts of my body, leg but only in one spot on My leg and on the side of my mouth like Sarah said. It is strange but I put mine down to an axiety symptom.
Not had this symptom in along time.

Hope this helps.

TAKE CARE

Hi Nell -
Yes I have this too!! It is really annoying and mine is so bad that I can see it sometimes if I look in the mirror!! I have always referred to it as a thump in my eye - cuz that's wha tit feels like to me.
I don't know if it is due to anxiety but probably does have something to do with tension in the face muscles. Meg is one of the smart ones about things like this maybe she can say for sure. I just know that it bugs the hell out of me too. So at least you know that you're not alone!!!

Hi Nell,

When we're anxious is it normal for muscles to tighten up. Some of the tiny ones can go into a bit of a spasm and start to twitch such is as is happening with your eye.

Anxiety coupled with the previous eye strain is quite enough to set this off.

Relaxation and rest usually helps

Nell,

I eye twitches too and the one my lip does makes me look like Elvis!!!

Love Piglet :)

"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.
