has anyone else tried citalopram for mood/sleep disorders associated with the menopause?
I have been having increasingly poor sleep with increasing irritability lethargy and low mood
I am about 3 years into menopause so don't really want HRT
I exercise well and have a good diet,am a clinical psychologist by trade so I feel I know the therapies well (I have had therapy )
trying to balance a busy job and children is proving increasingly difficult hence the reason for trying a chemical intervention - I would appreciate hearing of your experiences - (haven't actually swallowed a tablet yet) thanks

My friend took this med for exactly the same symptoms and it turned her life around. She still takes it and is so much happier. I hope it works for you.

I had trouble sleeping for months, since taking Citalopram I go out like a light at night. It's about the only benefit I've had from taking them so far, but its appreciated regardless. I was absolutely exhausted before.
