Hi

I worked full time and I have been off sick due to anxiety and depression since the 22/9/09 I was due to go back part time on the 4th Jan but I have had a blip (minor one I hope) and have not been able to return. Can you employer give you the elbow.

I have been working full time for the company for 7 years

Thanks

They could but it's unlikely if you have a sick note from your GP. It also depends on what sort of contract you have signed (if you have one that is) and the terms of employment contained in it.

You could always claim unfair dismissal if they did sack you but it seems unlikely to me if you've been with them 7 years that they would.
