I had some trouble a few months ago with some symptoms including really cold hands and feet, and feeling cold all the time. I recently found out the problem at this time was Lyme disease which posed an awful lot of other symptoms too. But over xmas my cold hands and feet came back again. This was before I got my Lymes results. But since finding out Ive worried that having these symtoms again means the Lyme disease wasnt completely cured in November. My nose is feezing and my face is quite red and cold. Ive not been outside in the cold or anything and I know its not in my head because my boyfriend has commented on how cold my hands, feet and nose are. Im just a little worried about the whole thing. Does anyone know if these are classic anxiety symptoms? I dont think feel anxious, and certainly wasnt anxious over xmas. I only really started thinking about the Lymes when I got my results 2 days ago. Any comments would be great.

Thank you

Ok now Im freaking out a little bit. My Lyme test result was 'mildly positive' After reading a Lyme disease website it said - "A very positive test, in which a large number of antibodies are present demonstrates a healthy immune system that is reacting appropriately to the infection. The sicker patients have fewer antibodies and are barely positive (if at all)"

Now Im wondering is there something wrong with me that means my immune system isnt great??

It could be anxiety, But i often get cold hands and feet and nose anyway, poor circulation can be a cause, but it could just be normal - it is very cold at the moment.

I would suggest that you stop googling info on lyme, no good will come from it - i remember reading the symptom list for lyme and it's almost as big a list as anxiety!

If it was me i would go back to the doctor with your concerns and ask if there is a specialist you can be refered to.

Try to relax, it takes months and months for lyme to get serious and you've had some treatment, i think your just starting to think about it too much maybe?

Hope you feel better :)

Hey Gaz! Thanks for your reply, I think I am just thinking too much. I think its other symptoms like fever and joint pain Id have to worry about looking out for. I have had some palpitations over the last few weeks, but I put it down to anxiety. Ive never had them before in my life though and I was a bit confused by them. Now that I found out about the Lymes coupled with the fact it can also be a symptom of mid-stage Lymes you can imagine I think its related now. I know I def need to stop worrying. I might go to the docs in a couple weeks if things havent settled. Can anything be done about bad circulation which you mentioned? My hands and arms sometimes go a patchy orange colour in the cold, I dunno if thats to do with circulation but Ive always sorta thought so. Its not anything Ive ever really worried about, but its becoming a bit annoying. I might even go and ask the doc about it, because if it is circulation related Id love to have it go away so I can type on my keyboard properly lol.
