I get a weird feeling in my chest where my heart is....sort of like a brief sensation of pressure....recently I moved a sofa by myself (and I have weak girl arms) and my question is, could this 'heart pressure' be related to a pulled muscle?
I went to A&E to have my heart checked out, ECG came back clear, pulse was fine, blood pressure is fine and I've had my heart checked three times.
It hurt the most the morning after my daring sofa relocation but it's been maybe a week.....so could it be that?
If it was a heart problem, would it have been picked up?

Hi

Yes, if it was a heart problem they would have picked it up. That's why they do those tests after all.

You have pulled a muscle and sometimes things like that can take a wee while to clear up. The fact that you are worrying over it will only make it seem as though it is lasting longer than it should.

Hot bath, some candles, relaxing music and forget about it!

Hi there
You have muscles in your chest too, and this can be a common problem for people thinking their heart is in trouble. If youve had the tests and they're clear then I would think moving that sofa has strained your chest wall muscles. You can also strain these muscles if you have a bad cough too :)
