Just wondered if anyone has had this, as I'm starting to stress about it...

On a few occassions over the last year, I have had a sharp, tight pain when i breathe in. It literally last about 5 seconds, or one or two breaths and it hurts right at the top of the chest. I have noticed that it seems to happen after I have been bending down and then get back up.

Anyone had this?

Hi Mondie,

Yes, I get this too, it's in the top right and sometimes in the centre of my chest (where the sternum is).

I'm fairly sure mine is related to some kind of muscle or trapped nerve or something.

Been on and off with it for 4 months.

Sometimes heat works well for me, others I need to take some Ibuprofen to ease it.

Hope this helps!

It could be chest wall pain. Even athletes have this!! My son takes it now and again and the doctor says it's the chest wall rubbing against some sort of muscles...... Nothing to worry about.
