Red eye

Hi everyone,

It's stupid I know but yesterday morning I woke up and noticed my left eye is kinda blood shot...not bright red but definitely not clear. Why this has caused me to freak out is a mystery! Last week, it happened in my right eye, which then was sore on lid for a day for clearing - it's swapped eyes now. I've also noticed with this eye, that my eye lid twitches occasionally.

Logically I'm thinking eye infection but the HA in the back of my mind is thinking it could be a precursor to something else or an indication of something worse underneath.

Anyone suffered from this and have any advice? Thanks in advance

Sounds like an eye infection. Have you tried getting some drops from the chemists?

I had a serious infection last year and even had to go to the eye hospital for special drops that the doc couldn't prescribe. It was nasty - but it was just an infection.

Twitchy eyes are common and not necessaarily linked to eye infections. At the moment my left lower lid twitches whenever I sneeze or yawn. It's nothing to worry about and will go away eventually.
