Dry lips

Hi,

I have been on Fluoxetine for a couple of years now with no obvious side effects - until now.

On and off I have suffered from "dry" lips, but when I say dry, I don't mean rough or chapped but just extremely dehydrated. I'm constantly having to apply lip balm and can no longer wear lipstick or gloss as it causes terrible irritation. My doctor seems to think it is the Fluoxetine, does any one else have this problem? :wacko:

OMG Yes. This happens to me also. I'm currently having a dry lip episode at the moment hence my finding this post. I thought I was the only one and I was going crazy. Attributing it to lip-gloss when previously to taking Fluoxetine I hadn't suffered dry lips like this. I have trouble drinking cold drinks and wearing lipsticks/glosses because my lips are very sore and very itchy and extremely dry.
