Hi All

I was talking to someone today who said that health anxiety is another name for hypchondria(sp)

To be honest i was a bit offended because i always thought hypochondriacs wanted to be ill....i certainly don,t want to be ill i would give anything to feel normal again

What are your thoughts?

It used to be called hypchondria and is now called Health Anxiety.

It is the same thing basically

makes you feel a bit silly don,t it? i feel more sorry for us all now thats why i get the dodgy looks then because people think i,m doing it or fun :blush:

It is more recognised as an illness now and not a taboo.

You still need to get help for it though
