Tonight I was sitting here at my comp, not feeling overly anxious about anything and felt that my heart was racing. Now my legs feel a little shaky.

I had an ECG two weeks ago on my heart, so surely if there was a problem it would have shown up on that do you think? I am now worried that there is something wrong as I wasn't feeling anxious when these symptoms come on.

Cheers,
Sam

Yep, I wake up and am twitching immediately sometimes. Although my anxiety is probably in my dreams as well, so I'm probably still anxious on waking.

Hello again Sam

I used to feel anxious at times even when i didnt think i was!

Sometimes it just hits you i guess and you dont know it.

I even found out i was getting panic attacks in my sleep without even knowing!

I would wake up and feel weak and shakey so i went to the doctor about it.

Its all good sam take care :hugs:

You can have all sorts of symptoms due to anxiety when you are not feeling anxious. My Doctor told me that anxiety sufferers have high levels of anxiety chemicals and hormones etc floating around their bodies and they can cause random symptoms at any time even when you're not feeling particularly anxious!

Any heart problems would show up on an ECG. My Doctor told me that too!

Hope that reassures you a bit.

Thats one of the frustrating things in that even when you feel relaxed at home with nothing to worry about it can come on.

I just had a complete medical checkup last week and everything came back alright (I need to go on a diet and do regular exercise though) and still suffer anxieties. My brain is so used to being anxious all the time that even if there's nothing to worry about, it's still worrying.

Thanks, I needed this thread. I get symptoms too, esp. heart palps, when I am convinced I am stress- and anxiety-free. Such a sick joke my body plays on me (or vice versa?). Stay strong....
