Prescribed Prozac

After 2 years on & off with depression secondary to anxiety i have decided to try Prozac.
I am a nervous wreck having tried sertraline 2 years ago. I was only on it 2 days & i had to come off as i was nearly climbing the walls. He has prescribed 40mg of propanalol to go with then to hopefully aleviate that.

It's funny because Prozac had that effect on me: made me anxious for no reason (and gave me insomnia). I'm on sertraline now and it's been the best one so far; but these meds have a habit of affecting people in different ways, so you just can't tell till you actually try them. The propranolol should help with any initial anxiety you may get and I wish you luck.

I'm like Melancholia - Prozac made me feel awful but sertraline made me feel so much better. We are all different. Hopefully Prozac will be the med for you. I hope so.

I was okay on prozac so like the others said different meds of different people try to remember it takes a while to kick
