How is it so that panic attacks can give me the in-ability to swallow my food.
christmas day was hell, i hadnt eaten all day and the big christmas feast was running late. so at 4 when it was finally served up (and my god it looked good) i had to sit there and pick at it because i couldnt swallow for fear of choking. ive never liked christmas but this year i gave it a go and went round to my step moms family house, great bunch of people and similar sufferers of PA's, i spent the whole time tensing my stomach and shaking and sweating, i didnt say much - i couldn't, i now fear im viewed as the miserable one who doesnt like his second family.
damn you PA's.

Sorry that you hach such a rubbish Christmas day.

I also suffered at christmas and had to keep a brave front for my husbands family so can really sympathise.

I am sure that in both of our cases, the added pressure of having to seem happy and well at other people's houses made us feel slightly worse.

I hope that you are feeling better and that this feeling passes.
