So I made it through that terrible feeling of not being able to swallow. After I posted early this morning I went to go back to sleep and as soon as I put my head down I started to panic again that I wasn't going to be able to breathe and die in my sleep. BUT I finally fell back to sleep and 3 hrs later I am up with my kids .. Man I am tired right now.

I got the feeling of not being able to swallow again this morning but I tired to just ignore it for the kids' sake. I did pretty well but I did have to go in the bother room so my daughter (4 yr old) didn't see mommy get all restless.
Is it normal to get this feeling in your throat?

Well done for getting through it and coping. I often have to do the same for the sake of my kids.

I think the swallowing sensation in your throat is very common with anxiety - I know I have had similar before.

I am sure Meg will have loads of links to similar postings.

That must be a terrible thing to go through.
Why not try this if you feel you won't be able to sallow go get yourself a fresh large cold glass of healthy water and sip it. Before long the feeling will go away because you can see you can sip and enjoy the water and drink it right down.
I think you'll feel better.
I wish you well.
