about ready to give up on Effexor

Well its been 7 weeks and nearly 3 weeks since upping to 150mg of Effexor with absolutely no change whatsoever.

Its getting desperate now as Ive been off work close to 2 months with no improvement on meds Im gutted and terrified that things are not getting any better.

All I feel since starting the meds is very tired with no motivation so fed up.

Don't give up Chris - go back to your GP and explain how you're feeling. You had another thread about this topic and I said that maybe your dose needs to be adjusted. Tiredness is a very common side effect and it does improve with time. I've been feeling the same way since I had my medication increased too.

Have a word with your doctor about this but don't suddenly stop taking the venlafaxine otherwise you could get some very unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. It's a powerful drug.
