Hi, I have suffered from palpitations for on and off for a few years, usually just one or two if i had drunk a lot of coffee. More recently, the palpitations were becoming more regular until I was having around 50 good ones a day. I have already had thorough heart checks so wasn't too worried so I started trawling the internet for reasons/possible remedies and came across taurine. Taurine is a natural amino acid found in many foods and appears to be very good for heart health. It has been shown to lower blood pressure, cholesterol and can prevent palpitations. I started taking taurine just over a week ago and have not had a palpitation since. I would recommend this supplement to anyone who has palpitations, however, I am not a doctor so anyone with a heart problem should probably check with their doctor first. I am not guaranteeing taurine will work for you, but it did for me. You can buy for about 7 pounds at Holland and Barret or any good health store. Hope it helps you!

Glad your palps have calmed down. I have an appt at the cardiac dept next week so may mention taurine to them and see if they feel it is beneficial. Would be lovely if i could find something to stop mine. Thanks for the info.
