How I love thee

My sweet love, how I adore thee,
Your kindness brings warmth to my heart,
Your touch is as soft as silk,
When you smile, my life is brighter,
And the stresses of each day are lighter,

The softness you give is adoringly simple,
As light as a butterfly on a warm summers breeze,
Wherever I go, a part of you is in me,
Kept safely where no one but me can touch,

Without you, life is not worth living,
As barren as a cold bleak winters day,
A night without morning, a tunnel without end,
You are without doubt, the most precious of jewels,

To me, your love, the most grateful of all,
You are within my heart and soul,
You are my love and my life,

Yep, I Do feel old" and I Am old fashioned but yes, I am a romantic. I'm just glad you liked it.:)

Just hope that if you have partners that they show you their love for you in the ways you all deserve with flowers, chocs, breakfast in bed or a meal out etc. or All those things and more because a rose is very precious and should always be cared for and protected for the many unique treasures only a rose possesses..........:hugs:....................

A Special Rose

In my rose garden of rare and special blooms,
I would plant you and circulate your scent throughout my rooms,
I would never idolise you but forever admire you,
For your empathy, attractiveness and golden hue,

Every petal of your being representing all your many wonders,
Shining brilliantly in the sunlight emanating a prism of beautiful colours,
Enhancing the numerous blooms with your special beauty,
Exuding your love and kindness with unadulterated simplicity,

An exquisite creation of so many yet so few,
Sprinkled in the morning with sincere droplets of dew,
Pristine and perfect protected by angel honeybees,
Exuberantly shielding, her happiness fills them with glee,

One angelic rose bringing warmth to this garden,
A joy to tend, held with fondness and appreciation,
Illuminating all those who approach her,
Treating all not merely as a number,

Distributing glowing compassion through all her glossy leaves,
Her scent of sensitivity wafting on the warm summer breeze,
Softly swaying, her petals gently flutter,
She radiates her kind-heartedness loving all as sisters and brothers.



My rose in bloom


To love you is to cherish a beautiful rose in bloom,
Your sweet summer scent wafting from room to room,
To admire your loveliness before my honoured eyes,
Adoring you while you sleep beside where I lie,

To caress your glossy smooth silken petals,
Your glowing warmth reflecting upon mirrored white walls,
To gently hold you within my secure palm,
Emitting your softness, stilling my stormy seas calm,

To protect your delicate presence from natures uncertainties,
Shielding your innocence from life’s adversities,
To support you with my strong tender arms,
Helping you grow to fend life’s harms,

To promise for all eternity to nurture you,
Entwining together all night, from every evenings fall,
To each new mornings droplets of dew,
To forever care for my precious treasure who sets my heart alight,
She makes every day of my life full of wonder, joy and delight.:hugs:
