Is this common with anxiety or are these some kind of tics ? I do weird movements sometimes, my hand twitches, or my leg, or my head. I also consciously contract my muscles sometimes, the muscles of my legs and hands mostly, when very anxious.

Hi
very very very common, there are loads of posts on the subject, try not worry about it, the more you think about it the worse it gets, when we are anxious we abuse our poor muscles no end , its any wonder we even get about some days, im sure nicola or meg will post some links for you to put your mind at rest
take care

I just want my life back

Hi
I get tired/weak legs with my anxiety and also strange weird head sensations (mainly at night - thus me not getting much sleep)
Everyone says its part of the anxiety - but it does worry me.
Can you explain how your head and legs feel? (I find it hard to explain)

Nicki

Take care

Heya,
I get this very often lotus and it's exactly like you describe, in fact it's one of the things I find hardest to ignore and put down to just anxiety.

I find it's a lot worse at night, or when I'm trying to rest/relax (haha). I have also noticed a warm feeling in my legs around the same times that they are twitching like crazy.

Take care
MJ

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

Hi Lotus,

i suffer from restless legs and twitches in my eye and hands.
there have been occasions when I've been having a manicure, I have given the beauty therapist a shock of his life, but now we just laugh at it, it's all you can do otherwise you'd be crying constantly!
