Head tingling sensation

Hi every1.

I keep getting this hot tingling sensation on the left side ov my head,it makes me panic. just last night i woke at 4am with the same sensation, its horrible an it freeks me out.Do you ever gat this???????:scared15:

This could be a lot of things but anxiety and migraines are top of the list. Tension in the muscles can cause this, hence why anxiety can set it off. Circulation too can cause these sensations, hence the link to migraines.

Unless you have any other serious symptoms I wouldn't worry about it. It can't harm you...

Physically i feel fine,just a constant feeling ov anx an tension,i grind my teeth alot,even wake up doing it.Its funny coz i felt fine 4 a while,went 2 the docs 2wks ago,said feeling alot better,he thought so 2.since then panic attacks everyday,anxiety and tension.Just cant seem 2 break the circle.

Been on citalopram since oct 2009 20mg

Don't feel sorry - that's what the forum's for!

I'm also on a similar med to you and have my good and bad moments. It may be that you need to increase your dose to 30-40mg. We also go through "blips" sometimes. It happens to most people on meds. Don't forget that they're not really a cure - you need to discuss other treatments too with your doctor, like CBT, counselling etc if you haven't already.

But wait for a while longer (if you can) and if you're still getting anxiety attacks you need to see your doctor again.
