Combined pill, gallstones question

GP prescribed me loestrin 20 combined pill to help control my heavy periods. She says it will help.

I am on my period now and am supposed to take it, but noticed on the leaflet it says not to be used if you have gallstones. I currenly and awaiting a scan to see if I have gallstones/rule them out. Shoudl I really be on this medication then???

I have rung the GP and am waiting for her to call me back. It wasn't my usual GP who refered me for the scan, that prescribed me the pill so I am unsure if she actually looked, and of course I didn't think to mention it to her as I didn't think it would be a problem.

Wait and see Jess what the GP says it is a good job we read the leaflets inside our pills :ohmy: Even though i read them and have every side effect before i even take them :) Not a good idea .
