lump on neck

a few months ago I found a lump on the back of my neck, I was a bit worried but then I somehow forgot about it.
i checked today and its still there. It hasn't moved, changed or anything.
I can't go to the doctor cos my mum won't let me she says it's nothing to worry about
but I am worried.
has anyone had anything like this? what could it be?

hi if you have had it a few monyh with no change its nothing to worry about its proberly a lymph node and if its still the same as before its harmless or it might be a little cyst but still nothing to worry about

My son has one on the back of his neck that I brought up to the doctor awhile back and he said it was nothing. I've actually brought it up to him a couple different times and that's what he said, and it never has gotten any bigger. If it hasn't changed in size any, I would think it's nothing to worry about.
