Its another anxious thought i got whilst watching a film on tv again. It was an American film and it was in a perfume department area in an "old fashioned department store" like 1950's but obviously with modern day products. It freaked me out because it was like a dream i've had in the past of a building in American. Anxious because it was like an old dream i've had . It was like our depatment store with 50's dark wood fittings. It would reassure me if i knew this was a real life building in America. (does anyone know if they have old stoes like this still?) I know i sound totally off my trolley but the Anxiety in me is still loitering a bit. I'd appreciate any advice . I suppose i have to try and just let it go eh? Suz

I think there is definately stores like that still. I know that near to where I live there is a Beatties department store which has been there since the late 1800's or something like that. When you go in, you can still see traces of the past in the architecture/structure of the building only they sell modern products, like you say. Im sure that big department stores in America like Macy's or Bloomingdales were founded quite sometime ago and if they are the original stores that were first opened by the founder of the company or whatever they would probably have an 'old' feel to it. But to be honest honey, it doesn't really matter! Its probably that you had some sort of deja vu experience whilst you were watching and thats a weird enough experience when you aren't feeling anxious. But I know from my own experience that when stuff like that happens it does compound your anxiety and you tend to read far too much into it. I think you are right when you say you should just let it go - after all, does it really matter whether the place exists or not? Its probably not wise to go checking! Clare. xxx

Hi Suz

Our thoughts can sometimes go so deep we can have thoughts and dreams of things that we watched 20 years ago ! these thoughts can be intrusive but they are ok to have. They are all part of your sub conscious and cant hurt you and they do not mean your going nuts I promise !

Take care Suz and msn me anytime honey ok

Hi Suz,

As Sue said, try and remember that these things CAN'T hurt you.
I watched a film at the cinema last year where a woman was buried alive and I started panicking in the middle of the cinema. I ended up going out and my other half came out and reassured me that this was only a film and it wouldn't happen to me! (It is one of my worst fears)
He kept telling me over and over it's just a film and got me to do the same, God knows what we must have looked like, me in floods of tears and us saying "It's only a film" Thank God we weren't stood outside the screen showing Bambi!!!!

It does work, just try reassuring yourself.

Suz - I am always having deja vu moments hun, I've given up trying to work it all out and what my dreams mean.

Put it on a back burner in your head as your brain will process it later for you if it needs to be processed.

Love Piglet xx

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.
