hi,

my name is brad and i am 15 years old. to tell you the truth i dont know why i am on this site, because i have never been like this. about a month ago in a bus on the way home from a school tournament i started thinking about how it would suck to puke on a bus. for some reason i started to dwell on not wanting to puke so much that i actully made myself feel very sick. from then on its almost like my brain has figured out that it can control me and i have turned into a mess. i am currently very agateophobic to the point where i almost fell like i have gone insane and it is starting to control my life. i hope you guys can help me because i dont want to go and see a shrink. please post any advice.

Brad.

Hi Bradley and welcome

Haven't ever had to deal with the sick feeling, but I know with panick attacks/dry mouth feeling I chew sugar free gum - might help and will save your teeth :)

I'm sure you'll get a lot of good advice on here though from people who have had the same experiences...

Welcome aboard Bradley!! :)

I have never had the sick thing either but most things relating to psnic attacks/anxiety consist of silly thoughts that we get in our heads that, as you say, start to control our lives.

Have you told anyone what you are going through? Is there someone at school you could talk to?

*its almost like my brain has figured out that it can control me *

Nice on eBradley for figuring out this is just in your thoughts.

You have to challenge these thoughts and drown them out with new rational ones that prove that you are right
