Does anyone's doctor send them for any blood tests or any kind of tests to see how your body is coping with meds.

Yes I have blood tests every 3 months for the drugs I am on.

Forgot to mention mine aren't anti-depressants though

No Mine hasnt sent me for any .But it would depend if you have certain conditions or have had certain probs in the past I would expect .If the drugs you are on are working and you fell well there wouldnt be a reason too .Some affect your kidneys and blood count but you would have symptoms if something was wrong ..Sue

I am taking Cipramil, but was just curious if tests were needed.

I'm on lithium and have my levels checked every 3 months, also my kidneys as lithium can affect them.

I'm on lithium too. I go every three months for lithium blood level tests. It is very important as toxic levels can cause poisoning and even death. Some of lithium side effects are irreversible like its effect on the thyroid and liver and kidneys. These are always checked. My GP usually does a full blood count too. It does seem scary but I have never had any problems and I have been taking lithium for eleven years.
