Hello folks,
After a few years of hell ive been diagnosed with HA. Ive been signed up for CBT but the waiting list is looooooong! In the meantime id like a kick start and i am looking for a friend who can relate to what im going through. Im a shy person and find it hard to talk face to face so friends and family aint really been much help to me, they dont understand the physical things i feel and i know i will benefit from talking to someone else who can relate to my problems.
Im also a good listener and hope to be able to offer advice and help as well as receiving!
Im not bothered if your male or female and age is irrelivent
thanks for reading,

Hi Linda,
Welcome to nmp. You'll get lots of support here. Lots of people here will have felt like you do so you are not alone. Yes the physical symptoms of anxiety are unpleasant but you can learn to live with them and keep them in the background. You've done the right thing joining!!
Myra:hugs:
p.s. I'm Scottish too!:yesyes:

Hi Linda, I am 40 and from the West Midlands. I too sufffer from anxiety and panic, and on loads of med at moment. I am waiting for a CPN and CBT and like you, waiting list is huge. Just wish I could start the therapy. I had CBT 4 years ago and it really helped, just need a top up. I can fully understand and empathise the feelings we experience with anxiety, I constantly feel scared and in fear, especially in the evenings. I know its trying to distract your thoughts that really help whether its taking up a new hobby or just talking on the forum which has really helped me so far (only been on here for a week). People on the forum are really caring and can fully understand the feelings mentally and physically that anxiety brings, its so debilitating. Just want you to know here for you if I can help in any way. Take lots care

Regards, flossy x:)
