I find it hard enough at times, but i am having to keep taking my son with special needs to the dr.He is 18 yrs old.
He has had a cough for a long time, bad throats and fatigue. blood tests showing low white cell count, enlarged red cells, liver function, borderline. cholestral slightly up (not told exact ).Was diagnosed last yr with low thyroid function. These tests are ok. I have been chasing registrar at hospital for 2 wks about bloods done 3 wks ago. The secretary is as helpful as she can be. But reg. not called me or my GP as promised. should i worry about these results and lack of communication.

I'm sure if they thought it was something very serious they would have called your son in. Obviously the abnormalities that have shown up will be dealt with in the appropriate way.

There's no harm in you continuing to chase things up (we know how lax they can be at times) but please don't get into a panic over it as I think it's something very treatable.

Hope things get sorted soon.
