View Full Version : chest pains
hi,
i suffer from chest pains, ive had MRI scans and ultrasounds on my heart and they are both clear so the doc is putting it down to anxiety and has put me on citralopram
anyone have any advice ?
Hi Andy
Is there any kind of CBT/Counselling you can be referred for if you have not already.
Also, I wonder if it would be worth finding a yoga/pilates class or maybe a DVD that could help? It may help strengthen the muscles and give some relief from the chest pain.
I am glad you have had all of the checks done, I hope you start to feel better within yourself soon

forgive me for asking what may seem a silly question but what is CBT ??
the doctors have mentioned counselling but thats as far as its gone at this point.
CBT is Cognitive Behavourial therapy, aimed at changing your thought processes.
the waiting list can sometimes be long, so I would get onto it at your GP asap, it may be the right thing for you.
