pathetic question about tastebuds

I didn't ask my dentist last week as I forgot but occasionally I get white spots on my tongue or at least I think they are but don't know if they are tastebuds

They are usually at the front or sides and are bright white but go red when I touch them sometimes

If they aren't tastebuds they're papillae I think

Basically has anyone else noticed white or enlarged or swollen papillae on their tongue ?

Maybe through accidental biting or grazing of the teeth?

I have a small white spot/enlarged papillae (studied it in the mirror for ages but I can't tell) on the left hand side of my tongue :(

It's so annoying.

sometimes mine get big...always on the tip or side of tongue...I think it's where we bite ourselves to be honest....it has a weird feeling to it too...I swear I have this like every other week.

I swear this is getting me so so down.

I am 25 on Saturday and I am going to dread how ill I am going to get before I go out to celebrate in front of everyone.

I will be a nervous wreck and everytime I go to the bathroom I will be checking my tongue in the mirror and ruining my birthday :weep:

I hate everything in my mouth. It's something every week like you have :(
