Lol, yep!! i get them everyday! Have done ever since my anxiety disorder came about. Im used to them now as i know they are harmless and its just my mind playing tricks. Do yours look like little dots yeah?? Or splodges of black or white that move with ur eye?? Mine do. im 22 so only a year older than u. Ive had loadsss of stress and anxiety and depression, it honestly is just all the neurons in ur brain that are racin around standing on ene d(as my therapist has explained) and so that is why ppl get odd things happening to their bodies during anxiety or severe stress. Dont worry about them though. I worried soooo much about them that i freaked myself out, booked an eye test and saw an eye specialist at my local hospital and all was fine, ive also had brain scan and everything, all normal. They r a nuisance but try and learn to accept them, i know its proibably hard, diff people get diff symptoms. Ours just happen to be weird floaters in our vision!!! lol!! take care xx

Hi,

I posted something similar the other day about eye problems. I do get floaters but i also have sensitivity to light and blind spots. It seems to be when i am most anxious and i have days where i just focus and focus on this kind of symptoms.

My advice would be to ignore 'Dr Google' and go to an optician. Opticians can diagnose losts of illness to do with the brian and not just the eyes. So when you have a sight test done and all is well you will know that it is anxiety and you will be reassured. I have a sight test tomorrow for this reason - if they see all is fine i am going to accept their word.

:hugs: for you!!

Hi there,
yes ive got floaters too and when im stressed they are even worse ive had them since my 20s and now im in my 40s and still have them...I think you have to try to ignore them as much as possible otherwise it can drive you mad...They are completely harmless though so try not to worry too much..

They are not harmful. I used to notice them a lot when I was younger, I even asked the optician, he said you notice them more if you are looking at the sky and feeling a bit introspective (i.e. brooding on them)! also more noticable if you are short sighted. I still have them but they don't bother me.

yes i do, like carli if i look at a white surface (or snow!) i see like millions of tiny bright dots that swirl and swim over the whole surface. I have it all the time and This scares the hell out of me and as its been 18 years since my last eye test i know i really should go to an option for an eye test but i am too terrified incase they tell me i have a tumor or something, i feel embarrased about that.

i also get occasional floaters which are dark and look similar to a worm floating in my vision and if i try to focus on it it moves over a bit and i can never get a good look at it. Usually disapear after a wee while, They dont worry me at all as i know everybody will have these at some point .

Hi lindajane, how long have you been having the tiny dots swarming on bright backgrounds? I have had it for the last year and it really scares me although optition says my eyes are fine???? I did do some research and think its called sheerers phenonemen(sorry about spelling) Google it and see if yours match. It completly harmless, more scarey then any thing else. Let me know how you get on hun. xxx

Yes I have had those as far back as I remember, though I dont have to be stressed...they are just something I always noticed. Weird they are...but harmless
