A few years ago, I suffered from Globus Hystericus (now often called Globus Sensation). It affected me so much that I ended up writing a novel about it, Swallow. I wrote to help myself deal with it, to create greater awareness of this really not uncommon anxiety-based condition, and to let others who have it know they aren't alone.
