This is an excellent board, thanks to all involved for such a mass of good information and help.
I'm a housebound Agoraphobic, have been for 13 years, time really flies, I've always been a tryer, making myself go out every day even if its my own garden gate until the last year where I feel I've given up. I've hardly been out this last year, sounds so stupid saying it like that (blush),
I think I've lost my motivation, lack confidence and with being at home so long kind of lost any sense of direction I need to aim for apart from trying to get back to at least my local shop.
I do think I've always been quite a positive person and to some degree still am but..
I'm not sure if I have a bit of depression, I certainly didn't have it for most of this time, just lately on and off feeling low and sleeping the days away:(

I take Seroxat/Paroxetine 30mg. For the increased anxiety I would like to go up to 40mg as my GP once suggested but the tiredness or lack of concentration etc. holds me back as well as knowing how hard these things are to withdraw from.

Anyway I've found some great information on this board so am extremely pleased, also looks like there's positivity here and a great community of people for supporting one another, I hope you don't mind me joining in. :)

A big welcome to you Jilly,:D

I found this forum a week ago today - thank goodness I did. This time last week I was in the midst of a big panic attack and couldn't go to my second day of a new job (and not for the first time, way too many times!). I felt so isolated and down with myself and such a let down.

The support I have found on here is amazing, everyone has been so kind and positive and supportive.

I look forward to seeing you on here, and if you ever want a chat, PM me anytime.

Some fantastic stories of people getting out.
Apart from joining here, I've just joined No Panic by telephone, spoke to a lovely lady thanks for the link and encouragement.

Good for you Jilly.

Thats a great start.

Now one step at a time, thats all. Take it slowly and steadily and rest when it all feels too much.

I'm very glad you joined us Jilly and a warm welcome to you.

Now we have a new year, you have found a new site as well as No Panic, I hope you will make some steps of progress to give you that excuse for motivation.

It's hard to get going again I know, but hopefully we will be able to give you some moral support.

Take Care,

Ray
