Can anyone tell me if medication works for anxiety and panic disorder? The doctor has given me some but Im afraid to take them and feel I can beat this myself, that was 6 weeks ago and I still feel the same? is it time for meds?? Please help?

Xanax for brief periods, yes. Overall, no. It's not a solution, cure, or treatment, but it helps in the short term. For this purpose it is an excellent drug.
SSRI's, absolutely not.
