Hot Burning ear....

If its on the outside its because you've been fiddling with it unconsciously. "My ear is on fire!". The ear lobe seems to be very sensitive to heat...

no...this is my whole ear, but most hot at the top...it goes completely red and is defo linked to when I get pins and needles in my face. Course I googled it and came up with MS!!!

I get this too, usually only one side is affected and not always the same one, it can sometimes be the left, sometimes the right but in my case it is invariably the left, it is not down to fiddling with the lobe either. As you describe it stressbunny most of the heat is concentrated at the top of the ear and it becomes visibly reddened.

I think that the condition is neurological and I can associate it with a stiff painful neck that I sometimes get. Perhaps though it one of those things that anxiety can antagonise (does it actually make anything better though ?)
