Blood pressure and Heart rate

So, how many of us have a compulsion to check our heart rate and blood pressure everytime when get a palpitation or odd feeling in our chest etc??
I do...
I dunno if it's the right thing to do, but when I can see it's ok it helps to reassure me that I'm fine.

Surely if anxious or at least a physical anxiety symptom state, your bp would be raised anyway.

I know it seems like lately I've been checking my heart rate constantly.

Then, the anxiety has been particularly bad lately.

It's not as easy to check my blood pressure, but when I've actually gone into the doctor's office, it's been normal. At least close to normal anyway.

I'm always checking my pulse, I don't know why, my hearts fine, I get these dropping sensations in my chest sometimes, mainly after a heavy night out, probably just premature ventricular contractions or something.

I know there's nothing wrong with my heart, but I check my pulse constantly, it's really annoying!
