Constant Tension & Tightness in Chest

Dear All,

I am experiencing constant chest tightness, very very worrying. I do feel that it's anxiety-related but I'm not sure. I am constantly clearing my throat and have congestion after eating. Can GERD cause this or is it quite simply tension/anxiety.

So grateful for any replies.

Hi, just reading your post regarding muscle tension, I also suffer with this, do your ribs feel like someone is grabbing them and your your chest and stomach muscles are tight, its especially worse when I have done house work etc and my heart is beating more feels like the air is pushing into my ribs, its a horrid feeling then they seem to go tighter.

What do you do to take your mind of this?
