View Full Version : worried about pain in ankle/leg

Hi there,

Im quite new to this site, but after a few years of no health anxiety, it seems to be back :( Things have been quite stressful over the last few months, and then after a chest infection in Feb, I have constantly been worried about something to do with my health.

At the moment, its a pain I have in my ankle. I felt it sore at the weekend, didnt think much of it. Then I started looking it up on inernet, bad idea I know, but since then I am terrified have DVT or something. The pain is just above my ankle, is on inside, a bit at back. Its slighly swollen, but thats it. In fact, its not even as sore as it was, can put weight on it now, and stand on toes, but Im still stressing out about it. Now I think I can feel pain in my calf. I started walking about 2 weeks ago at nights. At the weekend I did loads of walking, so being rational it will just be from that, but ugh, i hate worrying and feeling like this!

I get in such a state sometimes, really panicky about all this. I wish it would all just go away again!

Any reassurance or advice?!
