This is a poem I have written for my friends memorial service.
My best friend died of cancer nearly 2 years ago.. wanted to share it somewhere. I don't know if I will be able to read it out but still :)
A smile that could brighten up any cloudy day,
A heart so warm, you always knew what to say.
When things were hard you stood by my side,
You made me shine when I wanted to hide.
Loved by all, you were one of a kind,
forgotton by none that are left behind.
I go to pick up the phone, forget you won't be there,
Sometimes the pain seems too much to bear.
But the memory of your laughter and love is no lie,
It helps us all slowly get by.
You were my best friend, I want you to know,
That I love you, I miss you. In my heart, your memory will glow.
