Feeling very alert

I just woke up after just one hour of sleep and feel very alert and awake, It's making me a little scared as i'm afraid of feeling this way, it's like my mind has taken a back seat to my thoughts, which are racing but aren't too bad. However my OCD is much better, the NHS Direct said not to stop taking the pills because of withdrawl but i'm afraid of continuing in case this feeling remains.

That's definitely normal for the first week or two of it. Your body needs time to adjust to the medication :) The feeling won't remain, in a couple of weeks, probably less, they'll go. It's just adjustment that causes it.
