breast lump!

I have been having an ache in my left breast on the top and side near my armpit,it also feels sometimes its in my back and side.I went to the doctor on friday and where it felt tender she said she could feel a small movable pea size lump and is referring me to the breast clinic.She said she didnt think it was anything to worry about but my health anxiety is through the roof.Why cant i be normal and think it might be ok instead of thinking i have breast cancer and it will have spread everywhere and be to late?

There can be many reasons for this, it sounds like muscle damage to me, or could be a cist, a fatty lump or any number of things and i doubt its cancer (my mother had it, theres certain things that come with cancer, and was treated) the doctor is proberbly right and theres not much to worry about, she is just covering all possibilities by having it checked by a specialist for your benefit. listen to the better angels of your nature, relax and try not to worry.

Even if it was cancer, medicine and treatement for it nowadays is pretty good, life threatening tumours tend to be large and noticable.

I bet its a fibronoma. Ive got one. Had it for 13 years now. My breast becomes extremely painful 2 weeks before my period and the lump is so tender. Its goes away after my period only to return a couple of weeks later. x
