Oh My god! For the past two days i have had awful nausea on and off!
Thank god I haven't actually been sick but I am so scared right now!
I know its the real deal nausea as well (not the anxiety kind) and I can't take it anymore!
I need some sort of anti nausea drug!
I haven't a clue whats wrong with me - don't have any other symptoms!
Absolutely terrified!!!

Hiya,
As a fellow emetophobe i completely sympathise with u but the fact uve had it for 2 days and havent been sick is a good thing and unlikely u will be! u should go to see your gp to see whats causing it? in the meantime i find that drink peppermint tea helps and motilium 10 tablets over the counter.
Hope u feel better soon

yeah if you havent been sick after two days of nausea i doubt it will happen now. And I was going to suggest motilium tablets myself, can get them over the counter just about any pharmacy, and they're dead good for proper nausea.

I am also an emetophobe (i think you may have posted on my forum :) ) anyways, what always helps me is putting a very cold wet rag on my neck, it instantly helps.

Thanks for the suggestions guys :)!
Been controlling my nausea with Pepto Bismol!
Just been to the doctors - apparently it was mild food poisoning !
I'm just glad that I wasn't sick!!
Touch wood it's all over now!

Last year I suffered with such severe nausea that I barely ate for days. This lasted for about 4 months and I was absolutely convinced that I had some kind of illness that was going to make me horribly sick. The annoying thing is that it turned out to be anxiety - it's honestly that powerful! (And I struggled to believe it at first!)
This phobia is a nasty one, and enjoys trying to convince you that you're ill, when in actually fact you are most likely fine. It's the hardest thing to do, but try and distract yourself in some way and avoid focusing on the anxiety (for me it's painting with music on, or some handicrafts like knitting or crochet where you have to concentrate relatively hard) - it really helps me sometimes.
All the best to you,
Rosie x
