Hi here everyone.

My name is Jamie. I'm 29. Happily married and mom to a five year old dd and one more on the way.

I have had various issues with panic attacks in the past, the worst when I was 16 and then really nothing until this past fall when panic disroder set in and I have spent most of last months struggling with nearly daily attacks (and the "fallout" from those attacks on the days I don't have attacks).

I'm currently not taking medications. I took Ativan as needed until we discovered my pregnancy and have now been getting by on my own. I do okay, but wish I was doing better.

currently, I'm having a lot of issues with dizziness/being off balance. I was sure I had vertigo (or worse) but after reading at the forums realize that it's probably just the panic. Again.

I look forward to meeting all of you. :)

Hello, my name is Floozie or so I am called by friends amongst which I hope to count you. I have found this site quite confusing but that could be my state of mind. I went to see my psychiatrist a couple of weeks ago and she told me I had described classic De-personalization something which I had never heard about before, I just thought I was going over the edge for the second time. It has taken me five years to drag myself from nothing to this position and now I have this severe anxiety for no reason. All this is very scary. I have not been offered any medication but am assured it will pass in time. Any contacts from others are a great idea and support for us all.

I also have been suffering from severe depression which struck out of the blue five years ago. It is something which people say they understand but until you have been there you cannot understand. Sometimes it all seems so hopeless then you have a 'good' day and a littlt chink in the armour appears. Is this how you find it? Floozie

hi jamie and welcome to the site!

I'm sure you'll find lots of help here. I do have vertigo and have had an epley manoeuvre which helped a couple of times but it does come back... I put it down to anxiety for ages but it is vertigo.. you can tell cos you can bring it on by putting your head in certain positions with mine.... but it's got different forms, it can be viral... i don't know how to find the links for you but if you search vertigo or dizziness in the site i'm sure you'll find the discussions!

good luckxxxx
