Pain on side of waist

I have had pain on the left side of my waist, right where you'd put your hand there if you had your hands on your hips but at waist level, going a bit toward the front. I had a LOT of gas yesterday and today and am hoping that's all it is. Has anyone had this pain? It's been 8 hours...went away for a few hours but comes back. I also have diarrhea. Any words would help me because I am scared.

I am getting this to and diarrhea.Its not a pain but like an ache.I am also getting it in my upper back.I am worried to but i have been very anxious so it is maybe just anxiety.

Ive had that on and off for a few months. Asked the doctor who said its probably muscular problems.

I get pain in that area when stressed .

Ive had a prickling sensation in that area now for about 10 years, and my docs just say theres nothing there that could cause it. Apparently that part of my body must be empty? :P
