help !

I started citalopram 60mg three weeks ago and I'm feeling really bad much worse than before.Should I wait till it kicks in or stop? I'm going crazy!

first of all I meant Cymbalta and not Citalopram, so obviously one problem is forgetfulness.I'm back in bed with the curtains closed,very tense, can't get to sleep.My eyes are puffy.Every thing seems black and hopeless.No sense of time

The feeling of hopelessness is awful - I feel for you. I have never taked Cymbalta myself, but as you have been taking it for 3 weeks, it may be about to start helping, so I would say stick with it if you can. All the best. Baggs.

Just to say the bad days seem to have passed.It was worth hanging on it seems.Thanks for all your posts .Pschycopoet was really worth reading.Luv xxx

Good to hear you've made it through the first and worst of taking the Cit, my first week was rough but it was worth the effort, not completely out of the woods but I feel like I can deal with things now, the anxiety and depression have faded to almost nothing.

Let us know how it goes Katy, you may have a few ups and downs but hopefully won't have anything as bad now the meds seem to have started helping.
