I found that I put more pressure on myself to do well than others maybe do, I found this especially when I was completing my degree a few years back, the level of work I felt I needed to achieve was probably above that required. Perhaps it's just the perfectionist in me that made me feel that everything had to be just right. I've since learned to let go a little but I still find when I first approach a task I have high expectations of what is needed to get it done which can feed the anxiety.
Good to hear you're back to a more stable life, modern life is such a fast moving thing that we get lost in it some times, it's finding a way to anchor ourselves in the stream.
