Every time I read about a supplement that is known to extend lifespan, I jump right on it. However, I think it's time I start evaluating everything I'm taking and eliminating many of them.
Currently I take: Fish Oil, Garlic, CoQ10, Multivitamin and Mineral tablet, Magnesium and Potassium, Vitamin D.
Medications I'm on: Propranolol 20mg, Zoloft 50mg (both for anxiety)
The vitamin D is important since I'm from seattle, and last time I had a blood test the only problem they found was that my Vitamin D was low.
The Fish Oil, Garlic, Coq10, Magnesium and Potassium I take all out of health anxiety for fear of my heart. I think taking all of them may just be perpetuating a lot of my fears, not to mention it's probably not good to be taking so many supplements and medications at once. My doctor didn't really have a good answer for me other than it may be good to stop taking the garlic, though it didn't really sound like he was basing his answer on any solid medical evidence.
What do you guys think?
