I just wanted to know if it is safe to use aromatherapy and citalopram ?

Can't see it being a problem. My bath is regularly filled with a variety if oils! ;)

Yes, very helpful. The only essential oil I know of that is contraindicated with medications is Grapefruit, because it can cause more of the drug to be available in the blood stream which can lead to obvious problems.

Ones like Frankincense, R. Chamomile, Bergamot, Rose, and Jasmine are very helpful in neutralizing symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I was on citalopram when I started my Complementary therapies course which includes aromatherapy - it was a case of healer help thy self and it did work - hope this helps x

Thanks this helps me too! I am due to start my citalopram in about 4 days and I would like to look into alternative therapies xxxx
